Energy & Environments Are Contagious

As I reflected on my past, I remembered all the times my parents would try to get my siblings and I to understand that the environment we put ourselves in would set the foundation for our future. Naturally, as human beings, we crave acceptance and thrive off belonging. We all want to feel as though we are part of something greater than ourselves, so we begin our lives by accepting whatever comes our way.

A detrimental phase in my adolescent life – high school, had unknowingly created consequences that unraveled into my future. The choices I made, the unhealthy relationships I accepted, the behaviours and attitudes I demonstrated, and the demoralizing, low-vibrational environments I put myself in, all to feel as though I belonged. I was young, naive, stubborn and really thought that nothing and no one would have the ability to influence my life path. I was putting myself in one toxic situation to the next. Infecting my being with poisonous energy. In the words of Oprah Winfrey, “A lesson will keep repeating itself until it is learned. Life first will send the lesson to you in the size of a pebble; if you ignore the pebble, then it will send you a brick; if you ignore the brick, life will send you a demolition truck.”

I had hit the point of the demolition truck in Spring of 2019. Hitting depths of despair was a place I never thought I’d come back from, but it ended up being both the biggest lesson and blessing in my life. The moment I took a step back, detached myself from evident environments, uncovered my values and truly accredited my intuition, I came to the realization that my belief couldn’t have been further from the truth. I was playing the game of life in fight or flight mode. Constantly on the run because I was so fearful of the unknown, facing my true self and the feeling of discomfort that would come with stepping out of what I thought to be a “normal” reality. Now, I understand the significance of what my parents were trying to get across. As individuals, our environments do have a direct impact on our lives and the development of success or failure. The quality of our lives and who we become are truly a reflection of the people we spend our precious time with. With that being said, I do strongly believe that every individual has their own life path to guide them – the soul contract we sign before birth, and some are a lot harder than others. However, once we are able to push through each phase, life becomes a lot clearer and so does our purpose on this planet.

During my first year and a half of healing, I made personal development books my impetus. I spent countless hours diving deep into over 100 books regarding all aspects of growth. I have become mesmerized with the concept of personal growth and have learnt so much already, as they have completely changed my perspective on self-worth, energy, environments and success. I will forever be a student and will only allow myself to be part of environments of positivity, respect and high-value. Operating as a successful person, means gaining knowledge from other successful people and being motivated by them. The wealthy are some of the most grateful people on the planet, because they have mastered the blueprint of success that will make it easier for us to follow and bypass obstacles that they have already been through. Being both a student and a teacher will allow us to be the model of true happiness and success for those who are ready to have their darkness dissipate into light.

If you surround yourself with a group of pessimists who think the world is out to get them, you will begin your descension into a pool of negativity. The level of your consciousness has an undeviating effect on your thoughts and actions. The key is to multiply those individuals that have the mindset you aspire too – the ones that operate with optimism and then cut out those who do not align. It is hard to break free from those who operate with pessimism, cynicism, and negativity, especially when they are the people closest to you; however, it is imperative you do so. Learn to acknowledge that who you surround yourself with matters and what content you consume matters. It is essential for everyone to mold an environment they can thrive in and that make them come alive.

Become so conscious of the fact that your network is your net worth. The level of success you are able to achieve, how wealthy you can get, how intellectual you can become, and the degree of your growth is dependent on your environment. Begin to commit to building a network and decide who you want to be a part of it. It’s all in awareness – there is a marvellous¬†inner world that exists within us, and the revelation of such a world enables us to attain and achieve anything we desire within the bounds or limits of nature. You can either be the person who affects people in a positive light, or be the one who infects them with your negativity energy.

Yours Truly,
